We`re a "Shoes off at the door" kinda agency...

Shoes off at the door is a pretty standard rule in many households. But what is the 'taking shoes off in house' etiquette when you are viewing a property or stopping at a friend's for dinner?

In some countries like Sweden, it is considered an insult if you just stride on in with your shoes on!
Yet if you ask us Brits to take off our shoes at the front door, we consider it a little bit eccentric and slightly rude! (Unless we're entering a yoga studio or…well that's about it, really...)

So, should you take your shoes off automatically in the hallway?
If it's your home, can and should you, insist that guests take their shoes off at the door?

The simplest way to get round the debate of shoes on or shoes off, is to simply ask on arrival!
However, as a matter of respect (for as busy mums and working women, we know how long it takes to hoover and mop a floor!!), Noonan will ALWAYS remove our shoes when entering your home.

For an altogether different estate agency, sell your home with Noonan. You'll be so glad you did!
